G&L tech resources: Nuts & string retainers

The Graph-Tech string tree ceased to be the default option in lieu of a metal string tree starting in 2008. This apparently at the request of dealers who wanted a more “vintage” look, as explained in this post on the Guitars By Leo website. The first model I have with the metal string tree is my Phyllis model: ‘Blondie’ from 2008. And although everything was pretty much retro, most notably the pickguard, the C.L.F. Centennial ASAT has a black anodized version of the modern string tree.
